Update on black 69 Camaro convertible…

Done!!! We finished the dash cluster, power windw switch install. They look fantastic, and compliment an already nice car. We added some new woodgrain as well. The ashtray and console doors were beadblasted and then the entire console was painted a correct interior black.  As you can see, the old switch placement was not much to write home about…

69 camaro….

Next we will post the upgrades and fixes to the power windows…..stay tuned!

Dash Update in 69 Camaro…

well, it’s in! Much better than stock if you ask me. It came out great. We added some sport comp gauges and some LED turn signals to round out the dash.

69 Camaro upgrades

A customer came in with a very nice 69 Camaro, but had some ideas on some upgrades. Well, after seeing another 69 we did, we decided to change up the dash a little.
We will also be improving upon the power window switches that were installed in a less than desired location…..inside the console glovebox.

69 Camaro…finished!!

We are finally finished with the camaro…well, almost. I still have to do some more test drives and make sure all is well before it’s delivered to the customer. The LS2 makes a good amount of power and the brakes are INSANE on how quick they stop!

update: 68 Charger

Well, the charger has now been had the body mediablasted.  Now we can really see what we are working with.  The trunk floor is GONE, a few rust holes in the A and C pillars, back window, some previous repair on the drivers fender, but overall, in good shape.  The body shop now has it, and is starting to fix the sheetmetal as well as do all the mods needed for our coil over suspension.

update: 2.24.11

The camaro now runs! It sounds awesome! We put dual Magnaflow exhuast system, got the alignment done, and finally test drove it. WOW! This thing hauls some serious ass. The brake WILL ut you thru the windshield if your not careful. Definitely as good, if not better than a 2010 camaro.

69 Camaro pro touring

Well, the 69 camaro took a different turn…the customer decided to go with an LS2 fuel injected motor, and a 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission.  The motor will pump out about 510HP and about the same in torque.  Coupled with a 3.89 rear gear housed in a Ford 9 inch, it will be perfect around town and on the highway….

Fuel is fed from a custom stainless tank built by Rick’s hot rods that features an in tank pump and runs thru all custom made steel braided fuel/return lines.   In the background you can see a portion of the hydroboost that will help supply braking power to the massive 14″ baer rotors and 6 piston calipers.

68 Charger SRT-68

Here is what we started with and how far it is stripped down for paint/body work.  Will update with what color we are going with…..Once again, this will be a fantastic example of a 68 Dodge Charger…

Charger SRT-68….

Well, CBS has embarked on a modern update to a great classic, the 68 Dodge Charger. This will feature a 3rd gen Hemi that displaces 426 ci, a 5 speed manual, A/C, front and rear coilovers, and big brakes to stop this beast…
This will be one of the finest chargers in the east bay if not the whole bay area…..stay tuned for pics!
